The Shadow of Your Smile (La sombra de tu sonrisa) is a song composed by Johnny Mandel in 1965, with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster, for the movie "The Sandpiper" (Castillos en la arena in Spain, and Almas en conflicto in Latin America). The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and also the Grammy Award for Best Song of that year.
