The Cathedral (Agustín Pío Barrios 1885-1944) is considered his masterpiece. It consists of three movements: “Andante Religioso” and “Allegro Solemne,” composed in 1921, and a third, the “Preludio” (Saudade) from 1939, which the author began to perform as a prelude to the first two movements, constituting a single work.
