☑Heitor Villa-Lobos was a Brazilian conductor and composer. His music was influenced by both Brazilian folk music and European classical music.

Chôros No. 1 was composed in 1920 in Rio de Janeiro and was originally published under the title Chôro típico, later Chôro típico brasileiro. Later, this piece was incorporated into a collection of 14 choros called Chôros, with the first piece being the only work for solo guitar in the series and representing the most typical atmosphere of urban choro.
