Canción del Fuego Fatuo - Manuel de Falla

Canción del Fuego Fatuo - Manuel de Falla

In 1915, Manuel de Falla was working on a project called "Amor Brujo," which consisted of a ballet with a distinctly Andalusian character, both musically and literarily, infused with mysticism and legend. Today, it can be said to be one of the composer’s most performed works, as well as one of the most famous and widely recognised. The definitive version would comprise three beautiful and renowned compositions: Ritual Dance of Fire, The Song of the Will-o'-the-Wisp, and Dance of Terror. Falla conveys a story of jealousy and love, showcasing the protagonist's struggle to overcome these powerful emotions as she repeatedly sees her deceased lover appear to her as a jealous spectre (will-o'-the-wisp) due to her relationship with her new partner.
